I thought I would give you a look at my second loom project.
I always wanted to do loom work but it scared me. Finally, I got the nerve. On my first project, it was a small piece and the design came from my head. I use it as a bookmark.
Hey, we all have to start somewhere and I wanted to start small so as to not overwhelm myself, avoiding discouragement. Next was a different loom and a simple, but larger, project that you see pictured above. I'm proud of it. Yep, I may be in kindergarten when it comes to loom work, but I WILL get better. What the heck, I'm enjoying this new journey of creating.
I've tried two different looms and found I like the loom I did the project pictured on the best. I've already started another project as I find loom work relaxing. A little more complex in design with more colors. Plus, I really need to get better before I put any loom project up for sale.
I have been busy on many custom orders for several of my customers; bracelets and wire wrapped pendants. I even received some crystals from a customer. That took a bit of pondering before I started on them. I had to get a picture in my head on how they needed to be wrapped. My customer was very pleased. Yes! I love it when I make my customers happy.
The weather is changing here in Montana, so my outside work will soon be coming to an end. I'll be able to devote more time to creating, not only my customer's orders, but new pieces for my website. I will miss being outdoors, but look forward to more time spent at the work bench. I have a wonderful view of the Bitterroot Mountains to the west and the Sapphire Mountains to the east as I sit at my bench. Talk about inspiration. It's there just with a glance out the window.
You all have a great weekend and coming week.
