Tomorrow will be my last day of physical therapy! Alas, not the last day of exercises, those will continue for six months to year unless the doctor tells me different on November 20. Here's hoping no surgery and it's the exercises that continue. Physical therapy is amazing, within two weeks I was pain free.
I am slowly, and I repeat, slowly getting back into creating. Some things are fairly easy, some not so easy. Wire wrapping, I can get it done but it does put strain my my elbow and wrist. Beading around a cabochon is much easier but slow. Making wrap bracelets that is a piece of cake. Kumihimo is a piece of cake. Stringing beads on wire, oh my, we won't talk about how that affects the arm. My physical therapist told me to try different things and report the effects so she would know what we needed to work on. She has put time limits on working on creations which is a hindrance to the creative juices.
I have finally finished some pieces I started prior to the physical therapy. During one session I found out that cutting chain for a choker is a big no no. Now, I have to get pictures taken and get them on the website. A custom order went out in the mail today.
I got one custom order finished, but, can't show it to you yet. It's a gift and it's a surprise. So until the gift is given, can't post any pictures. The pendant is done in a whole different way than I normally do. I was quite pleased with the challenge and the finished product. The people who got to see it also loved it. I had to do some searching on several websites and even went to the fishing department of some stores looking for a solution. Now, I've got your curiosity up, don't I? That trip paid off because it gave me an idea what to search for on my jewelry supplier sites. Thank you, fishing departments for coming to my aid and education. I will use this type of creating again.
To my customers who have been so patiently waiting on your custom orders, a BIG THANK YOU! I can't tell you what it means to me that you were so understanding. To the others still waiting, I will get them done and, as I have explained to you, will do so in the order received. One customer, yes, I'm still in search of what you want and will continue the search until the perfect solution is found.
Hope each and everyone of you are having a glorious fall. The colors here are great and enhanced with the snow capped mountains in the background.
